Description:
The NATE Multicultural Committee wants to encourage the reading of multicultural texts. We want to concentrate first on transition texts used at KS2 and 3. We want these texts to be presented in ways which make it possible for ethnic minority pupils to gain ownership of the texts and feel they can contribute their knowledge and experience to the classroom process. We want to develop a project where more NATE members can be involved in the work of the committee and we invite you to participate. We launched this webpage at the LATE conference on Creating Readers at CLPE on 2nd April.
