Global learning resources from NATE
NATE works in partnership with others to bring teachers a range of resources to expand the horizons of the English classroom.
The Global Learning Programme
The cross-curricular Global Learning Programme is a new programme funded by DfID which helps teachers in primary, secondary and special schools deliver effective teaching and learning about development and global issues at Key Stages 2 and 3. Schools participating in the GLP will experience the exciting impact that knowledge and understanding of global learning can bring to pupils’ learning across the curriculum.
Re-viewing the World
Help children have a broader vision with free teaching resources from Global Education.
The Centre for Global Education at York St John University has produced a series of teaching resources to help achieve that broader vision through a close look at media stories.
The extensive and detailed activities cover all kinds of texts: print, web-site, still image, video and sound. The aim is to develop in students an awareness of how the media influences their view of global issues.
