WJEC Eduqas are delighted to be partnering NATE again this year. It is a pleasure to work with such a committed group of teachers, particularly as we prepare for teaching of our new GCSE and AS/A level specifications in September.

At last year’s conference, we were joined by Dannie Abse and Owen Sheers. Sadly, this turned out to be one of Dannie’s last public appearances before his passing in October. We are particularly pleased to share with you a recording of that memorable afternoon.

This year we are again pleased to welcome two leading poets to the Conference on the Friday afternoon: Jonathan Edwards, winner of the 2015 Costa Poetry Prize, and Paul Henry. They will be reading their work and discussing the reading and practice of poetry in the classroom.
