Earlier this year, UKLA (the United Kingdom Literary Association) produced a series of ten booklets, collectively entitled: “English, Language and Literacy 3 to 19 – Principles and Proposals”. The following six freely downloadable PDFs summarise some of the key content of the series. Together the documents represent an alternative plan for the teaching and assessment of English 3 to 19 to that contained in the current National Curriculum. NATE is pleased to offer these materials for you to download and discuss.
As a NATE Member, you’ll have access to a wide range of resources, including:
- Global education: Help children have a broader vision.
- NATE Collections: Get the latest thinking, ideas, and some practical strategies about some key topics in one neat collection!
- Grammar for Writing Schemes of Work: Resources designed for Year 8, based on the research project by a team at Exeter University.
- ICT resources: a range of materials, some ready to use in class, using ICT in English.
