NATE is pleased to share an opportunity for members to contribute to an important research study exploring how beginning teachers approach the teaching of transactional writing
Led by Gareth Evers, Senior Lecturer in Secondary English at Middlesex University, the study titled ‘Exploring Beginning Teachers’ Knowledge and Confidence in Teaching Transactional Writing‘ seeks to understand the challenges and strengths that new teachers experience in this vital area of English education.
The study involves a short, anonymous survey that takes approximately 10 minutes to complete. Participants will be asked to share their opinions and experiences related to the teaching of transactional writing, helping to build a clearer picture of current practices and professional needs in this area.
This is a valuable opportunity for early-career teachers to contribute to evidence-based understanding that could influence future training and support in English education.
To take part, please visit the survey link below. The survey includes full participant information and a consent statement that must be read before proceeding:
If you have any questions or require further information about the study, please contact Gareth Evers directly at g.evers@mdx.ac.uk.
