Whether you’re seeking inspiration, resources, or collaboration, the NATE Conference is a welcoming space to enhance your practice and engage with the latest developments in English education

We’re delighted to announce that the NATE Conference 2025 will be held at Kingston University on the 1st July. Delegates can expect a dynamic programme from leading voices in English education, interactive workshops, and engaging discussions. The conference provides opportunities to share innovative ideas, discover practical teaching strategies, and connect with a supportive network of peers.

Submissions for the NATE 2025 Conference are now open

We welcome submissions from both NATE members and guests who would like to contribute to the workshops and presentations. The majority of conference attendees are practising English teachers working in schools, colleges and universities across the UK. We ask all contributors to ensure their sessions are accessible and grounded in practicerelevant and adaptableinclusive and representative.

We’re especially interested in contributions that reflect the diversity of our students and communities, and challenge narrow conceptions of English as a subject.

To make a submission, please complete and send the NATE Conference 2025 Proposal Form to Anthony Cockerill at director@nate.org.uk. If you’d like to exhibit, email Anthony at the same address.
