Gordon Askew

Gordon Askew MBE was for many years a primary school teacher and later headteacher. After that he was a Local Authority Primary Adviser, then a Primary Regional Director. He was most recently Reading Adviser to the DfE, playing a major role in establishing the English Hubs. Gordon has always been an avid reader himself and wanted more than anything to enthuse children (and their teachers) about books. He still tries to keep up with the latest children’s titles and writes a couple of blogs in the hope of continuing to share his passion.
